At Big Sister Africa, the people we serve are the people shaping the platform.
This isn’t about helping. It’s about building.
They are young Africans who challenge passivity.
They learn by doing, grow through adversity, and move forward together.
Those who move fast share the way. Those who need more time rise through community.
They are not recipients. They are co-creators.
They are the reason Big Sister Africa exists — and the reason it works.

Cannelle Maricaux is a Senegalese-Belgian investment advisor
with a career spanning Europe, the UAE, and Africa.
Raised between Francophone and Anglophone Africa,
she saw not just the economic gap — but the mental gap.
In Francophone Africa, most youth are raised to memorize — not to question.
To fear failure — not to test ideas.
To follow rules — not navigate risk.
This is the legacy of civil law systems: structure without space for experimentation.
But the world rewards something different:
initiative, adaptation, mindset, and habit.
Compared to Anglophone peers, young people in Francophone Africa often lack access to practical, future-ready skills —
not because they lack talent, but because the system withholds opportunity.
They are excluded not by accident, but by systemic neglect.
Big Sister Africa exists to change that — by multiplying young people’s chances to earn, grow, and build sustainable futures. Not through top-down instruction.
But through community, clarity, and real-world practice — led by those who live it.
